Who is Required to Conduct Random Drug & Alcohol Testing?

The various DOT regulations apply to different industries, certain employers are required to carry out random drug and alcohol testing in order to remain DOT compliant.

These include any employer under the six "safety-sensitive" agencies, as outlined by federal guidelines.

Other commercial driver's license-holding employees, such as private motor carriers and church employees, may be required to undergo routine random drug and alcohol testing.
